Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Peter Rufai wants the job of goalkeeper coach. Rufai is considered one of the best goalkeepers in Nigeria's history. He played 65 matches for his country, winning three African Championship titles.
Despite his immense record with the Super Eagles, the former Lokeren (D1 Belgium) goalkeeper has never been involved in helping his cadets with the national team since his retirement. "I'm ready for them (his younger goalkeeping brothers). I expect to be one of the Super Eagles coaches one day, one day," said Rufai (59). "We have to do things right. We have goalkeepers but something is missing. You can't give what you don't have... we have the talent. Goalkeeping goes beyond catching the ball," continued the legendary Nigerian keeper.
