Jose Peseiro's future at the helm of the Super Eagles is still unclear. The Portuguese coach's contract expires soon. And the coach could be looking elsewhere. Especially as there is no shortage of suitors. But Nigeria captain Williman Troost-Ekong wants Peseiro to stay on as coach.
"Yes, I think the players are happy with him. Reaching the final is something important and also something we can build on," said the AFCON's best player in an interview with CNN World Sports Amanda Davies.
The African runner-up adds. "However, on what he had in mind, I tried to ask him before we left and he said he'd get back to me. I think I'm as much in the dark as you are, but I think all the players would be happy to see him again."
