Pochettino angry at Jackson and Madueke

Penalty Chelsea Palmer Jackson
Pochettino angry at Jackson and Madueke

Moribund this season, Chelsea claimed a prestigious 6-0 victory at home to Everton on Monday to close out the 33rd day of the Premier League. The 21-year-old English winger, Cole Palmer, scored four goals. But at the end of the match, instead of the Blues' demonstration and this superb performance by its nugget, it was an incident that got everyone talking. Three players - Cole Palmer, the penalty taker, Nicolas Jackson, the top striker, and Madueke, who won the penalty - squabble over it. An incident that irritated coach Mauricio Pochettino.

"The players and staff know that Cole Palmer is the penalty taker. I'm very annoyed by this situation. Discipline is the most important thing in our team. We all agree that Jackson and Madueke were wrong (...) We can't show this kind of behavior. This is not a schoolyard. There won't be any sanctions, but it mustn't happen again. If Palmer is on the pitch, he's the one who takes the penalty," clarifies Chelsea's Argentine coach.
