Fulham striker Alex Iwobi has eclipsed John Obi Mikel's English Premier League record. The Cotteger has become the Nigerian who has played the most minutes in the league. In Fulham's recent 1-0 defeat by Newcastle, Iwobi played 90 minutes under Marco Silva. In doing so, he surpassed Mikel's long-standing record. The former Super Eagles captain, who made his Chelsea debut in 2006, had accumulated 16,218 minutes during his English career. Iwobi moved ahead with 16,289 minutes.
