As part of the October international break, South Africa will play two friendly matches against Eswatini and Côte d'Ivoire. Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has called up 23 players, the majority of whom, according to the Belgian coach, will play in the next Africa Cup of Nations."We still have three players injured at the moment, players who played in previous matches. It's a shame, but at 80-85% the team is ready (for the AFCON)," said the former Cameroon manager, as relayed by Safa.net.
He added: "There may be changes, certainly, but I'm very happy that we're already this far. With these two matches, Eswatini and Côte d'Ivoire, I can really make choices next month for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda."
