British rider Peter Joseph Blackmore won stage 6 of the Tour du Rwanda 2024. In the process, the Israel Premier Tech cyclist took the yellow jersey. The 21-year-old took the overall lead with two stages to go, thanks to his victory on Mont Kigali. Only 69 riders finished the sixth stage, which was started by 75 cyclists.
Blackmore now leads the overall classification, followed by Kazakh Iikhan Dostiyev (2nd) and Colombian Jhonatan Restrepo (3rd). The best-placed Rwandan is Eric Manizabayo in 15th position.
