Cape Verde international midfielder Jamiro Monteiro (30), who is coming off a fine AFCON campaign, is leaving the US league and the San Jose team. Free of any contract, he has signed for Turkish outfit Gazientep FK. His contract runs until 2025, with the option of a further year.
In MLS with San José and previously Philadelphia, Jamiro Monteiro played 125 games and scored 16 goals. Last season, he played 29 games, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists.
