When Kalidou Koulibaly left Napoli last summer, he certainly did not imagine he would find himself in Saudi Arabia a year later. But that's exactly what happened.
On Sunday 25 June, the Senegalese defender signed for Saudi top-flight club Al-Hilal. He signed a three-year contract. The African champion had some words for the Blues, who are coming off an extremely difficult season. "From my first game to my last, it's been an honour to wear the Chelsea shirt. Last season was not the one we wanted, but I want to thank the fans and everyone at the club for your support," he wrote on his social networks.
