Transfer News - Liverpool: Al Ittihad and Mohamed Salah reach agreement

Mohamed Salah's move to Saudi Arabia is becoming clearer. Al Ittihad and the Egyptian international have reportedly reached agreement on a 3-year contract worth a total of $240 million net, according to Sport Zone. The Saudi club are even set to make him the highest-paid player in the Saudi Pro League, according to Relevo. The Spanish media outlet reveals that the Liverpool striker wants to leave after learning of the Saudi club's intentions. He would also be tempted to move to an environment more suited to his religious beliefs. Mohamed Salah extended his contract last season. He is tied to the Mersey club until 2025.

Al Ittihad have already signed Fabinho from the Reds. Signing the Egyptian striker should be no mean feat. Liverpool, who have failed to qualify for the Champions League, are struggling to regain their former form and are counting on their strong man. "One of the worst things, if I'm not mistaken, is that Saudi Arabia's mercato is still going on for three weeks. UEFA or FIFA should do something about it," said Jorgen Kloop recently. Negotiations between the various parties are continuing. According to Sport Zone, Salah will not be forcing his departure and will stand by his club.
