World Cup 2026 (Q): Morocco "hosts" 14 African teams

Some African countries have Morocco to thank. The Cherifian Kingdom will serve as their home for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. A total of 7 African teams will contest the first and second days of the qualifiers in Morocco.

Ethiopia, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Tanzania, Niger and Zambia. But also Sao Tome and Principe, Namibia as well as Chad, Madagascar, Somalia, Guinea and Uganda are all involved. So, nine matches to be played in different stadiums: El Jadida, Marrakech, Agadir, Oujda and Berkane.

November 17

Guinea - Uganda (Stade Municipal, Berkane)

Burkina Faso - Guinea Bissau (Grand Stade, Marrakech)

November 18th

Niger - Tanzania (Grand Stade, Marrakech)

November 20th

Chad - Madagascar (Stade d'Honneur, Oujda)

November 21st

Somalia - Uganda (Stade Municipal, Berkane)

Sao Tomé - Namibia (Grand Stade d'Aadir)

Ethiopia - Burkina Faso (Stade El Abdi, El Jadida)

Niger - Zambia (Grand Stade de Marrakech)
