Danlad Ibrahim confident of Ghana's qualification from group stages at the 2023 CHAN tournament

Shot-stopper of the Black Galaxies, Danlad Ibrahim remains adamant that his side will make it past the group stages of the upcoming CHAN championship to be held in Algeria.

Joining the team together with Daniel Afriyie Barnie for the first time after their World cup trip, the Asante Kotoko goalkeeper expressed his profound gratitude to the technical handlers for the opportunity to be with the team.

"I would like to thank the technical team here for the opportunity. It all started here, they gave me the chance during the CHAN qualifiers and i made them proud with paved the way for a Black Stars call-ups."

"I'm really excited because of the reception we had when we came back. The warm words from the technical team and the entire playing body was marvellous, everyone was happy to see us back in camp."

"Looking at the cohesion and love in camp, i think we can give a good performance at the upcoming tournament."

"As a goalkeeper, you need to help your team go past the group stages going into every tournament because it's the most difficult task", he added.

Danlad Ibrahim and Daniel Afriyie Barnie joined the Black Galaxies in camp within the week and featured in their friendly encounter with Legon Cities.

Annor Walker's men will be participating in the 2023 CHAN championship which has been slated for January 2023 in Algeria.
Ghana is drawn in Group C alongside holders Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar.

Tournament hosts Algeria are in Group A with Libya, Ethiopia and Mozambique while DR Congo, Uganda, Cote D’Ivoire and Senegal make up Group B.

Mali, Angola and Mauritania are in Group D with Cameroon, Congo and Niger also in Group E.
