Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo has assured Ghanaian of a good performance in their second group game against South Korea on Monday afternoon at the Education City Stadium.
Addressing the media ahead of the game, coach Addo said his team will play with same passion used in their 3-2 defeat to Portugal in their first group game.
"We will see a passionate team against South Korea. We will see the same passion they showed in the last game. Everybody is hungry to play and training good is making it difficult for me to make decisions."
Addo however said that his game plan is unknown but he's certain about a thing or two. “I can’t talk about the game plan for tomorrow, but I have an idea of what we are going to do.”
“We will try to stop every offence against Korea, and Son is a very good player because I know him because I worked with him in Germany. We have to win now and we are under pressure but then so are they”- he added.
The Dortmund assistant trainer further hit back at critics for the heavy backlash after the defeat to Portugal.
According to coach Otto, the media knows little about coaching therefore lacks a lot understanding of the job.
"When you do something and it works, you are genius. I know that when we lose, i will be dead and that's always same with the media. With all respect but some never played football, some didn't do the job. In the job as a coach, you have to be really into it to know and understand a lot of things"- he stated.
The Black stars of Ghana takes on South Korea on Monday afternoon in their second group game before taking on Uruguay on Friday.
