Ghana’s Tariq Lamptey

Ghana’s Black Stars right back, Tariq Lamptey is confident Ghana will get a victory over South Korea in their second world cup group game on Monday afternoon at the Education City Stadium.

According to the Brighton & Hove Albion star, the entire team is working harder to grab a win against the Asian side.

"We will keep training hard and doing what we have been doing. Listen to what the coach has to say, and we move on to the next game. Of course, it’s still in our hands if we take care of the business in the next two games,"

Playing against the best players brings your level up and to the level you know you can be at. I just have to keep working hard as possible in training to ensure that you are ready.”

We were unlucky that we couldn’t get the result that we wanted. We take positives from the game. We will keep training hard and doing what we have been doing. Listen to what the coach has to say, and we move on to the next game. Of course, it’s still in our hands if we take care of the business in the next two games", he added.

Tariq Lamptey made his world cup debut in Ghana's 3-2 defeat to Portugal as he came on as a substitute for Alidu Seidu in the second half.

The Black stars will take on South Korea at the Education City stadium on Monday, November 28, 2022, at (13:00 GMT).
