Ghana Premier League match day 23 wrap: Hearts of Oak suffers humiliation, RTU share spoils with Aduana as Medeama shocks  Kotoko

Elsewhere in Dormaa, Aduana Stars had to score late to salvage a point at home against Real Tamale United

Karela United 3-0 Accra Hearts of Oak

Former Ghana premier league champions Accra Hearts of Oak suffered a humiliation at the hands of Karela United at the Crosby Awuah Memorial park in Anyinase on Saturday afternoon.

The Phobians who struggled to get a late goal to beat Kotoku Royals last weekend fell to a 3-0 defeat against Karela.

Emmanuel Boakye Owusu shot the home-side ahead with a beautiful finish from Fatawu Mohammed's cross.

An own goal from Konadu Yiadom and Richard Berko's 87th minute goal was enough to have win it all against Accra Hearts of Oak who were reduced to ten men earlier in the first half after Rashid Okine was sent off.

Aduana Stars 2-2 Real Tamale United

League leaders Aduana Stars were held at home by Real Tamale United to a 2-2 scoreline at the Nana Agyemang Badu park in Dormaa.

Paa Kwesi Fabin's side had to leave it late to snatch a point after the visitors came down from a goal to take a 2-1 lead.

Kwame Adom Frimpong shot the Ogyaa boys ahead in the 75th minute with Umar Manaf scoring a quick brace in the 85th and 88th minute for Real Tamale United.

Samuel Aboagye however leveled things up for Aduana Stars in the 90+10th minute to salvage a point for the home-side.

Asante Kotoko 0-2 Medeama SC

Kumasi Asante Kotoko were stunned at home by Medeama sporting club with a 2-0 victory over the Porcupine warriors.

The Yellow and Mauve club were soo resilient to Asante Kotoko, dominating and outplaying the larger parts of the game.

Medeama SC  took an early lead in the 15th minute through Jonathan Sowah who fed on cross to head home beautifully.

Back in the second half,  the visitors kept pushing and were rewarded with another goal through Vincent Atinga from the spot-kick in the 78th minute of the game.

The victory has seen Medeama SC move to 4th position on the table ahead of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
