Match day 27 of the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League known as the betPawa Premier League continued this week across all League centers producing interesting results.
Asante Kotoko 2-1 Aduana Stars
Asante Kotoko came from a goal down to beat league leaders Aduana Stars 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in match-week 27 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The visitors took an early lead on the 26th minute through potent goal poacher Isaac Mintah who dazzled through the box to beat Isaac Asare.
The Porcupine warriors lit up the Baba Yara Sports stadium with a 37th minute equalizer through Steven Mukwala who grabbed his 11th goal of the season.
Back in the second half, the Porcupine Warriors returned very aggressively, much hungrier for the winner and finally had it through Ivorian export Eric Serge Zeze who scored with a sublime finish.
Coach Abdul Gazelle side held on to the 2-1 lead till the end of duration to record an important victory in the midst of much uncertainties surrounding the club.
Bechem United 1-0 Accra Hearts of Oak
Hafiz Konkoni stabbed a dagger in the heart of the Phobian supporters with a 21st minute goal from the spot as Bechem United beat Accra Hearts of Oak by a lone goal at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour park in Bechem on Saturday.
The magical exploits of Clinton Duodu earned Bechem United a penalty in the first half after the youngster was brought down by a Hearts of Oak defender.
Hafiz wuta Konkoni stepped up boldly to convert the kick, beating goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi.
The Hunters held on to their 1-0 lead, denying the Hearts of Oak attack on countless occasions from grabbing the equalizer.
Great Olympics 1-1 Tamale City FC
Accra Great Olympics even after moving their home games from the Accra sports stadium to the RedBull Arena in Sogakope, they still failed to grab a victory in their relegation survival campaign.
The Dade boys were held to a 1-1 draw by Tamale City FC in an all relegation-bound affair.
Former Asante Kotoko defender, Christopher Nakai Nettey gave Great Olympics the lead on the 38th minute, ensuring they go to the break with the lead.
At looked like a done deal affair for Coach Kobby Mensah's side until Sampson Eduku magically showed up in the 90+6th minute to snatch a point for the visitors.
The draw means Great Olympics are still trapped in the relegation zone with 32 points after 27games.
