Ghana Premier League match day 29 wrap up: Hearts of Oak back to winning ways, Dreams FC shines in Dawu as Tamale City holds Kotoko

The race for the top four and relegation survival gets tougher as the 2023/2024 betPawa Premier league season nears it end.

Accra Hearts of Oak recorded a victory at home to keep their title hopes on, whiles bitter rivals Asante Kotoko were held at home to a 1-1 draw.

Accra Hearts of Oak 2-0 King Faisal

Accra Hearts of Oak on Saturday defeated Kumasi based club, King Faisal to keep their hopes of getting to the top of the league alive.

The Phobians who suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Tamale City FC, bounced back to record a needed victory at home.

Two late goals from Salifu Ibrahim and Linda Mtange in the 89th and 92nd minute respectively, was enough to win it all for the Phobians.

The victory means Accra Hearts of Oak maintains their 4th position with 45points, 6points behind leaders Aduana Stars.

Asante Kotoko 1-1 Tamale City FC

The inconsistencies of Kumasi Asante Kotoko continue as they were held to a pulsating contest by Tamale City FC at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday night.

The Porcupine warriors took the lead in the 36th minute when Rocky Dwamena showed up with a beautiful effort to put smiles on the face of the Red and white army.

The smile only lasted for few minutes as Yahaya Mahama levelled things up just four(4) minutes before the break for Tamale City FC.

Back from recess, coach Abdul Gazelle and his men came close to grabbing the winner but all efforts were denied by the visitors as they held on to the 1-1 draw till end of durations.

Dreams FC 5-1 Legon Cities FC

Dreams FC in Dawu inflicted a heavy defeat on Legon Cities on matchday 29 of the ongoing betPawa Premier league.

The Believers who are unbeaten at home in their last seven (7) home games ensured they maintain their home record with another heavy victory infront of home fans.

Two quick first half goals from Dreams FC courtesy Aholou Avocevou and Ishmael Dede ensured they go to the break with the lead.

Samuel Armah however pulled one back for the visitors on the stroke of halftime.

Three other goals from Ali Huzaf, Abdulai Ibrahim and Godfred Atuahene was enough for the Believers as Maxwell Konadu's side fell heavily in Dawu.
