Kwesi Ofosu shot the Timber Giants ahead in the early minutes of the game but failed to hold on to the lead as Gideon Asante levelled things up for the visitors on the stroke of half-time.

Congolese export Linda Mtange doubled the lead for the Phobians in the 63rd minute but Annor Walker's side came from behind to add two more goals to record an important victory at home.

The victory means Samartex moves to 8th position on the table whiles the Phobians are stuck at the 5th position with 45points.

Asante Kotoko 1-1 Bibiani Goldstars

The woes of Kotoko continues as they failed to record a victory at home in their tie against Bibiani Goldstars, throwing away an early 1-0 lead.

Solomon Sarfo Taylor had given the porcupine warriors a deserved 1-0 lead in the first half and they held on up until the dying minutes of the game when an 'unmarked' Abednego Tetteh pierced a dagger in the hearts of Asante Kotoko, rising high to head home a crossing to earn a point for the miners.

Tamale City FC 4-0 King Faisal

The quest for relegation is being well lived by Tamale City FC as they demolished Kumasi King Faisal at the Tamale Sports stadium.

The Yellow and blue side who are unbeaten in their last four games were on top of their game and pulled yet another masterclass performances against the Insha Allah boys.

Sammy Osae Akoto broke the deadlock of the game in the 14th minute of the game before Sampson Eduku added a quick brace to ensure they go into the break with a huge lead.

Tamale City FC added salt to injury in the 54th minute when Godknows Dzakpasu sealed the victory with the 4th goal of the afternoon.
