Legon Cities 2-0 Great Olympics
Legon Cities are back to the winning ways after defeating Accra Great Olympics on match day 6 of the Ghana Premier League. The Royals hosted the Dade boys at the El-Wak Sports Stadium on Friday afternoon which ended in a 2-0 win over the visitors.
Legon Cities opened the scoring in the 42nd minute mark through Michel Otou who scored from the spot with Mohammed Suleman adding the second in the 60th minute to hand Maxwell Konadu's side their third victory of the season.
King Faisal 2-1 Kotoku Royals
King Faisal defeated Oda Kotoku Royals 2-1 on Friday afternoon at the Baba Yara Stadium to record their first win of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League. The Insha Allah boys were shot ahead in the 27th minute through Adom Antwi who headed home a pass from Abednego Tetteh.
Former Accra Hearts of Oak forward Abednego Tetteh doubled the lead for King Faisal from the spot in the second half before Kotoku Royals grabbed their consolation goal in the 85th minute.
Medeama SC 0-1 Asante Kotoko
Reigning champions of the Ghana premier league, Asante Kotoko are back to their winning ways following their 1-0 victory over Medeama Sporting club at the Tarkwa Akoon Park on Saturday afternoon.
Nicholas Mensah’s solidarity goal was enough for the Porcupine Warriors to clinch the three points; the defeat extends Medeama’s loss to four.
Bechem United 0-1 Accra Lions
At the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem, Accra Lions continued their impressive start of the season with a hard-fought 1-0 away win over Bechem United on match day 6. Fredrick Asante's lone strike in the 44th minute of the game was enough to seal all three points for the Accra-based side at the at Nana Gyeabour‘s Park on Sunday.
The win lifts Accra Lions to the summit of the league table with 15 points, two points above second-placed Asante Kotoko who defeated Medeama 1-0 in Tarkwa on Saturday.
Nsoatreman FC 2-1 Dreams FC
Dreams FC have suffered their third defeat of the season in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season after falling at the Nana Konamansah Park on Sunday. A first half brace from Nsoatreman forward Frederick Boateng in the 27th and 44th minutes respectively was enough to win it all for the debutants.
Dede Ishmael pulled one back for the visitors in the 76th minute but wasn't enough to earn a point for Ignatius Osei Fosu's men.
