Debutant Tamale City FC recorded their first victory of the season at the Aliu Mahama Sports stadium over tough opponents Aduana Stars.
REAL TAMALE UNITED 2-1 ASANTE KOTOKO
The Pride of the North, Real Tamale United kick started GW8 with a 2-1 victory over Asante Kotoko at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday evening.
Real Tamale United came from a goal down after the first half to edge the Porcupine Warriors.
Cameroonian forward George Mfuege shot the visitors ahead with a thunderbolt strike in the 42nd minute outside the 18yard box.
Forward Issa Kuka equalised for Real Tamale United with a 62nd minute goal as he fed on a cross from the right flank of Kotoko's defence to tap home.
Black Galaxies midfielder, David Abagna quickly added the second for the home side two minutes later with a beautiful finish to ensure they record their 3rd victory of the season.
ACCRA HEARTS OF OAK 2-2 DREAMS FC
Accra Hearts of Oak rallied from two goals down to grab a point in their 2-2 draw with Dreams FC in the betPawa Premier League match day 8 clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
David Van Dijk scored twice in the 14th minute and 49th minutes respectively with Accra Hearts pulling one back from an own goal and a late Benjamin Yorke's strike.
Serbian tactician Slavko Matic had to produce magic to earn a point at home when his side went down by two goals.

MEDEAMA SC 1-0 KOTOKU ROYALS
At the Tarkwa Akoon Park, Medeama Sporting club earned a 1-0 victory over Kotoku Royals.
Prosper Owusu's 90th minute strike was enough to secure the maximum three points over the Oda-based club.
TAMALE CITY FC 2-1 ADUANA STARS
Tamale City FC finally recorded their first victory of the season at the expense of Aduana Stars at the Aliu Mahama sports stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Ogyaa boys took the lead in the 53rd minute through attacker Bright Adjei but wasn't enough to save the day for the visitors.
Sampson Eduku levelled things for the home side with a 75th minute strike before Isaac Mensah grabbed that important winner in the 82nd minute that ensured Tamale City recorded a 2-1 win over Aduana Stars at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
