Ghana Women’s Premier League match day 18: Hasaacas Ladies beat Faith Ladies to win southern Zone as Ampem Darkoa Ladies retain Northern Zone title

Hasaacas Ladies set to face Ampem Darkoa Ladies in Ghana Women’s Premier League finals

The 2022/2023 Ghana Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League season has finally ended with regular champions Hasaacas Ladies FC and Ampem Darkoa Ladies emerging as champions for their respective zones.

In the Southern Zone, Hasaacas Ladies FC had to avoid a defeat to second placed Faith Ladies FC who gave them a tough this season in their final fixture.

A second half strike from Burkinabe forward, Fatoumata Tamboura helped the Hasmal ladies record the needed victory to maintain their title as champions of the southern zone.

Elsewhere at the Achimota school park, Army Ladies FC showed class in their contest with Police Ladies FC with a 2-1 victory.

A brace from Zinatu Alhassan did the magic for the camouflage girls whiles Deborah Afriyie  pulled one back for Police Ladies FC.

At the Northern zone, Ampem Darkoa Ladies inflicted a heavy 5-0 victory over Ashtown Ladies FC at the Sunyani Coronation park.

A brace from Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah and three more goals from Mary Amponsah, Mabel Amoyaw and Comfort Yeboah ensure that the Nanamma retain their title as champions of the the Northern zone and also set up a mouth-watery clash with Hasaacas Ladies FC to determine the real champion of the 2023/2024 Women Premier league season on 12th May 2023.
