Ghana Women’s Premier League match day four wrap: Hasaacas Ladies impressive run continues as woes of Ridge City FC deepens

Faith Ladies battling it out with Berry Ladies

The 2022/2023 Ghana Women’s Premier League match day four has ended across the Northern and the Southern Zone with interesting results.

In the Northern Zone, Pearlpia Ladies got their second consecutive vivtory to top the league table following their 2-0 victory over Candy Soccer Academy. Goals from Abdul Rahman Barikisu and Memuna Bugre ensured the visitors cruise to a comfortable victory over the newbies.

Prisons Ladies FC beat Supreme Ladies at the Sunyani Coronation Park. Helena Obeng's 78th and 90th minute brace was enough to win it for the security service team.

At the Bantama Astro Turf on Sunday, Fabulous Ladies FC grabbed their first victory of the season as they defeated heavyweight Ampem Darkoa Ladies. Forward Princess Owusu shot the home side ahead in the 24th minute with Afisatu Abubakari adding the second in the 28th minute to ensure they end the first half with a 2-0 lead.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies quickly drew 1 back just a minute into the second half through Mary Amponsah's strike. They surged on for the equalizer but saw all efforts denied by the Fabulous Ladies defense ending in their first defeat of the season.

In the Southern Zone, Hasaacas Ladies impressive form continues as they beat Thunder Queens at the Presec Park on Saturday in Accra. In-form Doreen Copson's 36th minute strike was enough to win it for Coach Basigi's side.

Faith Ladies FC were on top of their game at the Madina Astro Turf as they defeated Berry Ladies by 2-0. Adwoa Donkor's 44th minute strike and Jennifer Kankam Yeboah's 69th minute goal ensured Faith Ladies FC carries the day.

The woes of Ridge City FC deepens as Army Ladies FC piped them by a lone goal. Harriet Adjetey's 8th minute goal ensured Army Ladies FC records their second victory of the season. Ridge City FC are still without a victory after four league games.
