International friendlies: Richarlison and Marquinhos scores as Brazil demolishes Ghana

Brazil beat Ghana 3-0 in a friendly match

South American heavyweights Brazil have recorded their fifth successive victory over the Black Stars of Ghana in an international friendly in France on Friday night.

The Selecaos who are yet to lose a match since their disappointing 1-0 Copa America final defeat to bitter rivals Argentina in June 2021 recorded yet again another huge victory over the West African side.

Paris Saint German center back Marquinhos opened the scoring account as early in the 9th minute as he rose to head from Neymar's corner.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison added the 2nd for Tite's side in the 28th minute before adding the 3rd in the 40th minute.

The first half ended in a disappointing 3-0 defeat to the Ghanaians who paraded a young squad who featured in their World cup play offs with Nigeria.

Spanish based Inaki Williams and Southampton centre back Mohammed Salisu were introduced in the 2nd half in place of Afena Gyan and Kamaldeen Sulemana.

The Ghanaian attack grew hungrier for a goal after the introduction of the Athletic Club Bilbao foward Inaki Williams.

In a bid to get a goal, coach Otto Addo brought on former English youth defender Tariq Lamptey, Elisha Owusu and Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo later in the second half but all efforts proved futile as game ended in a 3-0 victory for the 5times world champions.

The Black stars of Ghana will now turn attention to Tuesday's encounter with Nicaragua in Spain as they seek to be in good shape ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
