Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano is full of praise for Victor Boniface. This was after he had made himself at home during Bayern's summit match with Leverkusen. The match ended in a 2-2 draw on Friday, the opening day of the 4th Bundesliga season. Boniface attempted 8 shots, including 2 on target. He also succeeded in four of his six dribbling attempts. The 22-year-old striker had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half and almost scored a world-class goal, narrowly missing the target. He left Bayern's defenders with little breathing space. At the end of the match, Upamecano, exchanged shirts with his opponent. He also declared: "(Boniface is) a great striker, fast, big, strong. It was great fun playing against him".
