Agent of former Asante Kotoko striker, Franck Mbella Etouga, Amadou Tigana has lambasted the Chief executive officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah for unprofessionalism regarding the transfer of his client.
Speaking to a local radio station in Kumasi, Ghana Akoma FM, the agent of the lethal forward stressed that has regretted doing business with the Ghana Premier League champions who have the poorest management ever.
According to him, Nana Yaw Amponsah has destroyed the relationship with AS Fortuna which could go a long way to prevent any other Cameroonian player from joining the Ghanaian giants in the near future.
“Let (Kotoko) know that it is not all about money, relationship counts but unfortunately they have destroyed that beautiful relationship with AS Fortuna. Kotoko still owes them $10, 000.
“Based on this issue, no Cameroonian player will join Kotoko unless this current crop of management of Kotoko are out of office,”Amadou Tingana revealed.
He however warned that until the current management is no longer at post, none of his client from Cameroon will join the former African champions. He further described Nana Yaw Amponsah as a football agent rather than a CEO.
“Players and Club Presidents in Cameroon know that the CEO of Kotoko is acting more as an agent than a club CEO,” he added.
“I’m saying this because he repeated what he has done to us to his player who plays in Moldova. He sold the player without consulting or seeking the consent of his agent.
The management at Kotoko is the poorest I have seen, no agent will accept what they are doing to their clients. I regret doing business with them”-he continued.
“Initially, I assumed that I was working with professionals but now I realize they are very unprofessional.”
Asante Kotoko announced the arrival of the former Cameroonian U20 star in a three year deal last season from AS Fortuna Du Mfou and he became an instant hit for the porcupine warriors.
Mbella bagged 22goals for the red army as he helped them clinch the 2021/2022 Ghana premier league title.
Etouga, 21 joined Egyptians side Al Masry in a deal worth €400,000 after only one season with the Ghana Premier League champions and he is reported to be on a lucrative €25,000 monthly salary with Kotoko earning 30 percent of any onward transfers he makes from Al-Masry.
Efforts was made to get a reaction and response from Asante Kotoko’s camp but to no avail as they do not want to comment on it.
