Black Stars leaves for first training

Ghana Football Association General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo, has debunked reports carried by some news portals claiming some officials of the Black Stars left their jerseys in Ghana before leaving for Abu Dhabi.

The team is currently in Abu Dhabi having its pre-tournament camping with the 26-‘man squad present.

Harrison Addo took to his official Twitter handle @PHAddo to debunk the false reportage.

Please the Black Stars have no jersey issues whatsoever. Puma SENT Black Stars equipment including match jerseys directly to Doha as per the plan”-he stated.

The team is using some of these equipment at the training camp. I continue to plead that let us allow the team focus on the task.”-he added.

Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be one of five African countries representing the continent.

Ghanaian journalist, Ayishatu Zakaria Ali confirms that, the jerseys of the team packed in boxes for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament are at the team’s based in Doha awaiting the start of the tournament.

However, the team’s training kits and a set of jerseys to be used for the friendly match against Switzerland on Thursday morning are in Abu Dhabi.

While the 2022 FIFA World Cup will commence on Sunday, November 20, Ghana’s Black Stars will play their first match on November 24 against Portugal before taking on South Korea on November 28 before finishing the group stages campaign with a rematch against Uruguay.
