Re-elected WAFU B President, Kurk Okraku paid a courtesy call on Ghana's sports ministry after being retained to lead the WAFU B football fraternity.
Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, Deputy Minister Evans Bobbie, and Chief Director of the Youth and Sports ministry Alhaji Hafiz Adam together with other personalities joined hands as they received the President of the Ghana football Association at the office of the ministry to congratulate him.
Hon Mustapha Ussif in his congratulatory message to the President Kurt Okraku pledged his support and that of the entire sports ministry to see him succeed as he's been given another term to oversee the WAFU Zone B.
"On behalf of H.E the President of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and on my own behalf, let me congratulate my brother Kurt Okraku for this wonderful achievement again".
"In fact, I had no doubts at all that the entire WAFU Zone B would give him another term because of what I have seen him do in Ghana".
"Together we have worked so hard in this country so when he took the mantle to serve the remaining term of the previous President, he exhibited commitment, hard work and dedication to the WAFU community and I didn't have any doubt that when the time comes again for them to look for a new leader, they are going to overwhelmingly endorse him".
"We know you are going to make us proud, you an ambassador of the country, you have the support of the ministry of youth and sports and the entire country", he added.
Okraku, who doubles as the President of the Ghana Football Association, was re-elected unopposed for his first full term of office following the event in Abidjan which will see him in office until 2026.
The Ghanaian took charge of the regional body last year following the decision of Djibrilla Hima Hamidou of Niger to step down in May 2021.
