The head coach of Kano Pillars VC, Musa Babamusa said his side will leave nothing to chance on their quest to reclaim the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League title this season.
Musa reiterated this ambition in the wake of his team's triumph over UCEM following a 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 25-20) win at the indoor sports hall of Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Thursday.
The impressive win followed a 3-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-21) comeback victory over Nigeria Immigration Service, the same day UCEM VC bowed 3-0 (30-28, 25-15, 25-22) to OFFA VC.
Babamusa further noted that Pillars are poised to claim the title, stressing that the team has shown determination since the revival of the Nigerian Volleyball Premier League three years ago.
“My team won 3-1 and it was a good result for me because a 3-2 against UCEM would have been a disaster. Kano Pillars will not relent in all her matches till we win the trophy this season, "he disclosed.
“My players should be firm and play better because the league is getting tougher by the day. We do not need to relax; this match ought to be 3-0 but it ended 3-1. I must commend UCEM VC for taking a set from us at the league. ”
